우리대학 도서관, 지역과 함께 독서문화 팝업 행사 마련
전북대학교 중앙도서관(관장 설동훈)이 지역과 함께하는 독서문화 확산 프로그램을 선보인다.
전북대는 국립대학육성사업과 글로컬대학사업의 일환으로 오는 10월 14일부터 23일까지 중앙도서관 앞 잔디광장에서 ‘책‧톡‧팝 : 읽고, 보고, 즐기는 독서 문화 팝업’을 개최한다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 지역 책방과 대학, 지역민이 어우러져 책을 매개로 소통하고 문화를 공유하는 열린 독서문화 플랫폼으로 마련됐다.
행사 기간 동안 잔디광장에는 지역 책방이 참여하는 팝업스토어가 설치돼 개성 있는 도서 큐레이션을 접할 수 있고, 현장에서는 최신 도서를 바로 대출하거나 구매할 수 있는 서비스도 운영된다.
또 전북대 창작동아리 ‘아회’의 문집, 전주교대 책표지 리디자인 공모 수상작 등 청년들의 창작물이 전시돼 젊은 감성과 창의성을 나누는 자리가 될 예정이다.
야외 독서공간도 함께 조성돼 누구나 자유롭게 책을 읽으며 가을날 독서문화를 즐길 수 있는 열린 공간으로 활용된다.
행사는 10월 14일부터 16일, 21일부터 23일까지 각각 사흘간 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 이어진다.
전북대 설동훈 중앙도서관장은 “지역 책방과 대학이 함께하는 이번 프로그램이 학생과 지역민 모두에게 새로운 독서문화 경험을 제공할 것”이라며 “대학 도서관이 지역과 함께 성장하는 상생의 장이 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU)’s Central Library (Director Seol Dong-hoon) is launching a reading culture program designed to expand community engagement through books and local collaboration.
As part of the National University Development Project and the Glocal University 30 initiative, JBNU announced on October 13 that it will host “Book·Talk·Pop: Reading, Viewing, and Enjoying a Reading Culture Popup” from October 14 to 23 at the lawn plaza in front of the Central Library.
The event aims to create an open reading culture platform where local bookstores, the university, and community members come together to communicate and share culture through books.
During the event, a popup store featuring local bookstores will be installed on the lawn plaza, offering visitors curated book selections and services that allow them to borrow or purchase the latest titles on-site.
Creative works by young people — such as the literary collection by Ahhoe, JBNU’s creative writing club, and award-winning book cover redesigns from Jeonju National University of Education — will be exhibited, offering a space to share youthful creativity and imagination.
An outdoor reading space will also be set up, providing an open area where anyone can freely enjoy reading and experience the atmosphere of autumn.
The event will run from October 14 to 16 and from October 21 to 23, each period spanning three days, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Seol Dong-hoon, Director of the JBNU Central Library, said, “This program, co-hosted by local bookstores and the university, will provide a new reading culture experience for both students and local residents,” adding, “We hope the university library will become a venue for mutual growth with the local community.”
