Jeonbuk National University (President Yang O-bong) has set out to become one of the top 100 universities in the world by supporting outstanding researchers throughout their research careers. The university plans to select outstanding researchers from assistant professors to those nearing retirement and nurture so-called "star professors."

On this day, JBNU held an award ceremony and appointment ceremony for the selected professors and presented them with research funds for each project, as well as a 'JBNU Fellow Box' containing a nameplate, signboard, and business card that symbolizes their status as leading scholars in the field.
"In order for the positive influence of our university to become the driving force for the development of the region and the country, it is very important to conduct challenging research, develop new technologies for the future, and foster convergence and complex research," said President Yang O-bong. "I ask that the passion and efforts of our professors serve as a model for future generations and play an important role in the dynamic development of our university's academic organizational culture."
