The head of the College of Education
Jeonbuk National University College of Education has been a secondary school teacher training institution with a history and tradition since its establishment in 1972, producing competent teachers, educational administrators, and educational experts.
The College of Education is dedicated to research and education with 70 professors from 10 departments and one undergraduate department, a total of 14 majors, and 29 majors in the graduate school of education and 9 majors in the master's and doctoral programs of general graduate schools to train teachers and specialists in pedagogy and subject education research. The College of Education has various educational specialized research institutes, including the Science Education Research Institute, the Curriculum Education Research Institute, the Education Problem Research Institute, the Convergence Science Research Institute, and the Physical Education Research Institute, which is an affiliated and affiliated institution of the College of Education, contributes to the local community and establishes itself as a specialized institution for creative and leading education and research by operating high schools, education training centers, teacher training centers, science gifted education centers, and after-school support groups.
Until now, our university has achieved excellent grades in evaluating various teacher training institutions, and boasts the nation's highest acceptance rate in the secondary school teacher appointment exam every year. Graduates of our College of Education are performing their duties as competent teachers or educational experts in the Jeonbuk community, as well as in secondary schools and metropolitan and provincial offices of education across the country. In addition, graduates of our College of Education are demonstrating their capabilities by working as university professors or researchers in educational-related research institutes through graduate school entrance.
Our College of Education will do its best to cultivate teachers that students respect and follow, and teachers that parents want to entrust their children to, and we will strive to develop into a Glocal College of Education through future-oriented reforms and changes to cultivate teachers who support students to have the core competencies they need in the future society.
