Our School of Public Administration aims to cultivate future talents for the public sector suited to the glocal era. To this end, we have developed and are operating a curriculum designed to equip students with the ability to analyze various social phenomena institutionally and normatively, identify problems, and propose alternatives.
Specifically, we organize a convergence curriculum tailored to the demands of aptitude tests such as LEET and PSAT, national civil service examinations, and public institutions. Furthermore, we have established the [Interdisciplinary Major in Real Estate Appraisal], a first for a university in Korea. In addition, we provide educational programs capable of responding to social changes through the attraction and operation of various projects, including the [JBNU Practical Competency Education Program], the [Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence College Project], and the [Big Data Innovation Convergence College Project].
Our undergraduate programs include "Public Science Special Lectures," "Public JOB Studies Special Lectures," "Pre-Law School Special Lectures," "National Assembly Legislative Academy," "Supreme Court Tour," and "Law Firm Experience," enabling students to develop their capabilities through interaction and activities with experts and alumni from diverse fields. Furthermore, our students in the Department of Public Administration are achieving excellent results by participating in various policy, ordinance, and debate competitions through the academic clubs "Todok Todok" and "Public Law Research." They are also enjoying a vibrant campus life where seniors and juniors interact through the clubs "Shoot" and "Ball."
Under these educational conditions, our department is breaking records for the highest law school admission rates among single majors in the country and is producing excellent results in professional qualification exams such as Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Certified Labor Attorneys, Certified Appraisers, and Certified Tax Accountants. Moreover, graduates who have entered public service through national examinations, regional talent Grade 7 positions, public institutions including state-owned enterprises, and the financial sector such as commercial banks are invaluable assets.
