Social Science Research Institute

The Social Science Research Institute of Jeonbuk National University aims to contribute to academic and social development by conducting research on social phenomena in general through interdisciplinary research in the social sciences, and thereby strengthening and growing research capabilities in the humanities and social sciences.

Based on the regulations of Jeonbuk National University, the 'Institute for Far Eastern Studies Affiliated with Jeonbuk National University' was established on May 1, 1968. Subsequently, on November 1, 1977, its name was changed to the 'Social Science Research Institute Affiliated with Jeonbuk National University' (abbreviated as 'Jeonbuk National University Social Science Research Institute'), and it continues to this day.
