The Institute for Social Development at Jeonbuk National University conducts interdisciplinary research and collaborative activities to address social structural inequalities and conflicts, and to seek inclusive and sustainable social development. Through this, it aims to diagnose and propose solutions to various social problems and contribute to the development of local communities and the nation. The Institute was established

on September 23, 2022, in accordance with the Academic Regulations of JBNU and the Regulations for the Establishment of Affiliated Institutions of JBNU.
