Jeonbuk National University held the opening ceremony 

of the JBNU–Purdue Research Institute (JPRI) on March 31, 2026, 

in collaboration with Purdue University, marking the launch 

of a global joint research hub.

The institute aims to expand joint research and 

industry–academia collaboration in advanced technology fields 

based on a strategic partnership between the two universities.
