Building on the conference, JBNU and Purdue University agreed to expand cooperation through joint research projects, researcher exchanges, and collaborative graduate education programs. The two institutions will focus on establishing a global research ecosystem centered on Physical AI, future mobility, smart energy, and advanced bio-industries.

JPRI is also expected to contribute to JBNU’s participation in the “Ten Seoul National Universities Project” through branded colleges, specialized interdisciplinary research institutes, and global education and research programs. In collaboration with industry partners such as DH Group, the institute plans to strengthen industry-academia research initiatives while actively pursuing large-scale national research projects and AI-focused university programs.

Looking ahead, JBNU and Purdue University aim to further strengthen JPRI as a comprehensive Korea-U.S. research collaboration platform that integrates international joint research, global talent development, and industry-academia partnerships. Through these efforts, JPRI seeks to become a leading international research hub generating world-class research outcomes.

“JPRI is a global research collaboration platform that brings together the research strengths of Jeonbuk National University and Purdue University,” said President Yang O-Bong.

“Through initiatives such as branded colleges, specialized interdisciplinary research institutes, and AI research hubs connected to the Ten Seoul National Universities Project, we will establish a strong foundation for becoming a world-class research university.”

JPRI serves as a strategic international research collaboration platform jointly developed by JBNU and Purdue University.

Following the signing of a strategic partnership agreement last year, the two universities have worked together to establish JPRI and are now accelerating global joint research and researcher exchange initiatives through this international conference.
