Definition of Graduation Qualification Certification
- To enhance the quality and competitiveness of graduates, this system identifies essential competencies required by society and encourages students to achieve an appropriate level. Even if students meet the graduation credit requirements, they will not be allowed to graduate unless they satisfy the certification criteria. Those who fail to meet the requirements will be classified as "course-completed" but not "graduated."
Eligibility
- Applicable to students admitted in the 2010 academic year or later (including third-year transfer students admitted in 2012).
- Exceptions include:
- 1. Students admitted through special admissions for employed individuals, arts and sports talents, or special education categories
- 2. Students who are employed or plan to enter graduate school (including prospective graduate students)
- 3. International students admitted through special admissions are subject to separate regulations
Certification Categories and Criteria
- The certification areas and minimum standards for each department/major are specified in [Appendix 1], and the recognized foreign language score conversion table is detailed in [Appendices 2–3]. Official English proficiency test scores or certificates obtained either before or during enrollment (including transfer) are accepted.
Alternative Certification
- Students who do not meet the standard certification requirements for their major may fulfill them by completing alternative programs listed in [Appendix 3].
- Note: From the 2015 academic year onward, students may only take alternative programs starting from their 6th semester (i.e., 3rd year, 2nd semester).
Eligible Applicants
- Students who have fulfilled the graduation qualification certification requirements
- Students who wish to graduate early
- Course-completed students who meet the requirements
- All students from 1st to 4th year may apply
- Note: Only one approved application is required to meet graduation requirements
Application Path
- OASIS Integrated Information System → One-Stop → Academic Records Management → Graduation Qualification Certification Application
Application Procedure
- Log in to the OASIS Integrated Information System
- Submit the graduation qualification certification application
- Fill in the required information and save
- Print the Certification Application Form and obtain a signature from the department chair
- Submit the signed form along with supporting documents (e.g., TOEIC score report, certificate copies) to the department office
Important Notes When Applying
- If fulfilling certification through an alternative course, set “Alternative Completion” to “Y” and select the appropriate item (available from 6th semester)
- If exempt from the certification requirement, set “Exemption” to “Y” and select the relevant exemption item
- Even students completing alternative courses or those eligible for exemptions must apply and submit supporting documents within the deadline
- Those exempt due to graduate school admission or employment must also apply in OASIS — failure to do so may result in graduation disqualification
- Alternative programs may only be taken from the 6th semester onward (i.e., after the 3rd year, 2nd semester)
