We sincerely welcome you to the website of the College of Human Ecology at Jeonbuk National University, and extend our heartfelt appreciation for your visit.

The College of Human Ecology at Jeonbuk National University was founded in 1971 as the Department of Home Economics and has grown into an independent college since 1991. For over half a century, we have been at the forefront of practical and interdisciplinary studies aimed at improving the quality of human life. Currently, four departments—Food and Nutrition, Child Studies, Fashion Design, and Housing & Interior Design—collaborate organically to cultivate professionals who meet the evolving needs of society.

Our slogan, “A Diverse and Strong College,” reflects both the academic breadth of human ecology, which encompasses various aspects of daily life, and our commitment to nurturing practical talents with integrated thinking. In response to complex challenges such as low birth rates, population aging, climate change, and transformations in local communities, we strive to enhance the quality of education and research through interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous engagement with the community.

Moving forward, the College of Human Ecology will remain dedicated to fulfilling its role as an educational institution that makes meaningful contributions to both the region and society. We kindly ask for your continued interest and support for the development of our college.
