The Department of Physical AI Convergence Engineering is dedicated to advancing this emerging field by integrating artificial intelligence with physical systems, including robotics, autonomous and future mobility, Urban Air Mobility (UAM), smart manufacturing (dark factories), and hydrogen-based energy systems. Our program combines core disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, control, and energy engineering with AI, digital twin technologies, sensors, and embedded systems to educate and train engineers capable of designing and operating intelligent physical systems in real industrial environments.

In particular, large-scale industrial initiatives — such as Hyundai Motor Group's significant investment in the Saemangeum region and the expansion of national-level Physical AI demonstration projects — closely align with our department's direction.
