The Department of Industrial Design at CBNU is answering its call as an institution to actualize education for creative thinking and integrated education of diverse school systems. In addition, with its many international programs and research projects funded both by the Korean government and companies, the department has been able to conduct numerous research projects,
As for international programs, the department has been hosting various design-related seminars both in Korea and Japan each year since 1996. Through these seminars, much exchange on design knowledge has been possible. These exchanges have greatly influenced the early academic development of design studies in Korea,
These seminars also served as grounds for CBNU' s affiliation with Chiba University in Japan as its sister university.
Through continuous international design activities, our department has increased our exchange programs with Tsinghua University in China, Brunel University in Britain, Nagoya City University in Japan, and Bridgeport University in the USA. Together with these universities, we are conducting various international activities. Also through outstanding seminar journals, we are making continuous academic contributions to the field of design,
