The Advanced elective courses offer basic or clinical medicine courses in small groups. The courses are classified as three groups: medical studies, social studies, and free elective courses.
All students should pass at least four courses in medical studies, four courses in social studies and two additional courses to properly finish the M.D. program. Two more courses are required in any section of electives. Therefore, 12 courses are necessary for graduation. Each course lasts one quarter which is one-half of a semester.
