This is a reminder regarding the Call for Papers for Journal of Digital Culture Archives(JDCA), Vol. 8, No. 3 (English Edition). The submission deadline is approaching, and we warmly welcome your contributions. In addition, as the use of generative AI tools continues to grow, the journal provides the following guidelines to support research transparency and uphold research ethics.

 

The journal strongly requests that authors refer to the following policies regarding the use of generative AI tools:

Authors are responsible for using generative AI in an ethical and appropriate manner.

The direct use of AI-generated content “as is” should be avoided. However, AI tools may be used in supportive ways, such as for language refinement, creating tables or figures, or conducting background searches.

If generative AI tools are used at any point during the research or writing process, authors are asked to clearly document this usage in accordance with the citation format provided below.

AI Tool Usage Citation Format: AI Company. Year. AI Tool Name (Version, Release Date · Date of Use), [Type of Resource], URL, Description of Use. Example: OpenAI. (2025). ChatGPT (5.0, 2025.08.08.), [Large Language Model (LLM)], https://chatgpt.com/. AI tools were utilized to create visual representations of the research methods when preparing the project’s implementation strategy and framework. All figures and tables on page 24 were generated using AI tools and were partially revised by the researcher before being included in this study.

The Journal of Digital Culture Archives is published twice a year (with the third one being a special issue) and features leading and creative research topics in interdisciplinary fields, encompassing Archival Studies, Library and Information Science, Cultural Studies, History, and Computer Science.

Since December 2023, the journal has been indexed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI) by the National Research Foundation of Korea, and consequently, a publication fee is applied to accepted manuscripts. We kindly ask for the authors’ understanding in this regard.

The Editorial Board is dedicated to ensuring that the valuable research efforts of diverse scholars are properly recognized, widely disseminated within the academic community, and have a meaningful impact on readers. We sincerely invite your continued interest and contributions to the journal.

·Publication Fee: Authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication after peer review are required to pay a publication fee (to be paid upon acceptance).

- Funded Research Articles: KRW 250,000

※ An additional charge of KRW 10,000 per page will be applied for manuscripts exceeding 30 pages (based on the journal’s formatting guidelines).
