Students may object to an assessment result either in person or remotely (e.g., by email or phone message). The professor in charge of the subject will respond to the student in person or remotely.
2. Provision of Opportunity for Explanation

If an objection to a grade is not accepted or corrected by the subject professor, the student must submit a request for explanation to the Student Guidance Committee. Students may also submit requests for explanation regarding matters other than grades, such as retention, deferral of graduation, and expulsion. Upon receiving the request for explanation, the Chairperson (Dean) of the Student Guidance Committee convenes a meeting to deliberate on the contents of the request. The committee then reports its decision to the student and the subject professor, and then to the Self-Evaluation and Quality Assurance Committee and the General Faculty Meeting.
