Introduction
The Department of Dermatology provides medical school and graduate school students with the understanding and treatment of skin diseases necessary for primary care physicians. Students begin with an introduction to the basic morphology and function of the skin, followed by an exploration of common skin diseases. Students receive 32 hours of theoretical instruction (1.5 credits) during the first semester of their third year. In the first semester of their fourth year, they participate in a one-week clinical practicum (1.0 credit).
