Introduction to the Department
The Department of Biomedical Sciences, separate from the existing Department of Medicine, is a master's and doctoral program for graduates of medical schools, medical schools, and life sciences-related departments. It began accepting new students in March 2011. The Department of Biomedical Sciences faithfully fulfills the original purpose of the graduate school: education in academic research. It also provides an optimal research training program to cultivate outstanding talent in the field of biomedical sciences. This training program empowers outstanding students from various fields, both medical and non-medical, to conduct biomedical science research aimed at improving health and disease control.
Educational Goals
Through human-centered and disease-centered education, the Department of Biomedical Sciences aims to cultivate researchers who can contribute to the advancement of human health, possess international perspectives and insights, and lead domestic and global biomedical sciences. Furthermore, the Department of Biomedical Sciences at our graduate school cultivates the qualities and capabilities to conduct outstanding research not only in biomedical sciences but also in all areas of life sciences. Ultimately, it aims to contribute to the advancement of human health through disease treatment.
