Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery

Instruction in this department focuses on surgical treatments for the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, esophagus, thorax, mediastinum, and pleura. Lectures are taught during the first semester of the third year, and bedside instruction occurs during the first semester of the fourth year. The course consists of 64 hours (24 hours of lecture and 40 hours of bedside teaching) with 2 credits.
