Introduction
This department is responsible for clinical care, research, and education for respiratory and allergy diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine. We strive to be a global leader in education and research, emphasizing patient respect and the pursuit of happiness.
Currently, our clinical care in this field boasts the highest level of patient care compared to national university hospitals nationwide. Our research results, annually recognized by leading international scholars, are also produced.
In recognition of these achievements, our department successfully secured the nation's first "Respiratory Disease Center" designation from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, opening in June 2013. This center is expected to set new standards in treatment, research, education, and public health, contributing to our department's position as a leading center for respiratory diseases. Furthermore, we successfully conduct the "Nobel Prize-winning Clinician Training Program," a nationwide educational program, annually, and have been recognized for its outstanding educational content by numerous medical school and graduate students nationwide.
